All of our summer programs employ
Precision Teaching to assure that students are mastering the
materials they are learning. We build skills to fluent
levels as quickly as possible—this means that each skill will be
retained, be useful, and be applied to a large number of more
complex operations.
Transition from Kindergarten to First Grade!
Students prepare for first grade by
learning critical skills for success. We will provide phonemic
awareness, beginning phonics, number and letter recognition and
formation, and handwriting practice. We will also work in
comprehension of materials that are read to the children, building
their ability to understand materials that they hear. We will
begin our phonics-reading program and use selected stories to help
students become confident readers.
Students will be assessed prior to
beginning of each segment to assure that they are prepared to
participate in the group. Assessment is delivered individually
rather than in the group.
Cost is $600 for each session if you
sign up before June 1, $640 for each session after June 1.
We
will offer this program in two-week segments to suit your summer
schedule.

Thursday 1-3pm July 19th through July 29th.
- Session 2: Monday through
Thursday 1-3pm August 2nd through August 12th.
