BREAKING THE CODE
Fluency Factory Director Richard McManus, The Critical Reader Founder Erika Meltzer, and Special Education Teacher and Filmmaker Ben Tobin have created a resource for phonics and reading. Their website provides articles and videos about how to help children become successful readers, as well as advice on what to look for and what questions to ask to help students build a strong foundation.
THE MALONEY METHOD
Michael Maloney was one of the pioneers in blending the Direct Instruction and Precision Teaching techniques that we employ at The Fluency Factory. Michael also assisted in starting the Fluency Factory. He has written a marvelous series of books called Teach Your Children to Read Well, as wells as a new series, Teach Your Children to Spell Well.
THE SPELL OF LANGUAGE
Jean Tucker and her associates employ a variety of research-proven teaching techniques and curricula to teach students of all ages tp succeed in their development of oral language, written language, and cognitive skills. They provide training and professional development in the Lindamood Phoneme Sequencing (LiPS) program, Precision Teaching, and other cutting edge instructional methods.
